about

An instrumental guitar themed-tribute to the bounty hunters from Star Wars.
The songs present an overall mood from the famous bounty hunters, and try to tell a story using a collection of dark musical themes, riffs, and melodies.

This album was recorded in my home studio in Bloomington, IN in 2012.
The sessions and idea for this album happened very quickly.
I watched the original trilogy of Star Wars films (episodes IV-VI) and was already working on some new music.
Once the bounty hunter theme clicked, I found myself pouring all of my ideas into this album, but I decided early on to not worry about rewriting or recreating Star Wars music from the films.

Instead, I went for the vibe of what I felt and saw onscreen, and wanted to write themes and melodies that reflected who the songs were named and written after (IG-88, Boba Fett, Dengar, Aurra Sing, etc...).

The album was recorded over the course of a weekend [Thursday-Sunday] and basically appeared in nearly finished form by Monday.
It happened and came together REALLY fast.
