about

Biomechanik Musik is an authorized instrumental guitar tribute to famed artist HR Giger.
The dark moods and overall direction of this album goes along perfectly with the visual imagery that HR Giger has created during his life.

This album was recorded at my home studio in Bloomington, IN from 2011-2012.
The inspiration for this album came from an Alien marathon I had at home, where I watched every Alien movie in succession (including Aliens vs Predator).
I had also recently bought a copy of Giger's Aliens book from Amazon and Giger ART+ from Barnes & Noble.
Seeing a large assortment of Giger's work, in addition to seeing his creature onscreen sparked an idea and theme in me, and eventually my music and latest obsession merged once again.

During the recording sessions and completion of this album, I've been in contact with HR Giger's agent in NYC, and he has given me approval for this album.
After Giger's passing this year (2014), the Official HR Giger Museum (in Switzerland) posted and shared a link to this album and my BandCamp profile.

I'm honored to have worked on this project, and I'm quite proud of this collection of music.
