about

An instrumental guitar tribute to the video game Doom.

Terrestrial Planet was recorded at my home studio in Louisville, KY in 2009.
At the time, I found myself playing video games constantly.
From Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3, to classics like Dig-Dug and DOOM.
After countless sessions on Xbox Live, I found myself wrapping my gaming sessions up with an hour or two of DOOM.
Revisiting this game for me was a flashback to the 1990s, when I first discovered this classic and legendary game.

Fast-forward more than a decade, and I found myself listening to plenty of Mastodon and Lamb of God, while writing and recording a load of new music.
All of this music reflects the sinister and dark themes of DOOM (and I'm told it fits while playing the video game, perfectly - I actually agree with this), it also reflects the dark music I was absorbing at that time.

Fans of heavy riffs and dark music should give this one a listen.
